Test & Tune at Nelson Ledges

Nelson Ledges Road Course is holding a Test & Tune on Tuesday, August 11 to help raise funds for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Charities. Many thanks to PVGP racer Stu Long and Reed Kryder at Nelson Ledges for leading this effort.

The cancellation of our 2020 event has left the PVGP scrambling to continue raising funds for our charities with smaller events. This Test & Tune will not only raise funds for our charities, it is also an opportunity for local racers to get some much needed track time. This is a great opportunity to shake down your vehicle for an upcoming races or simply to get behind the wheel. This event is designed for maximum track time with three run groups (two closed wheel and one open wheel) with 20 minutes sessions.

Schedule – August 11

  • Track opens at 8:00 am
  • Mandatory Driver’s Meeting at 9:00 am
  • Hot Track at 10:00 am
  • Lunch Break 12:30 – 1:00 pm
  • Concludes at 4:00 pm

The Test & Tune cost is $250 per driver for the full day and for each PVGP racer that enters, $50 will be donated to the PVGP charities by Nelson Ledges.

Drivers can also make a voluntary donation to the PVGP in addition to the portion of their regular entry fee. You can also make a contribution directly on the PVGP here or forms will be available in the paddock if you prefer to donate there with a check or cash. (Note: At the main gate when you arrive, just provide your separate check for the $250 entry fee.)”

How to Register
In order for the PVGP to receive the donation you will need to contact Reed Kryder 330-289-0473 reedkryder@aol.com by end of day August 9 – you will pay upon entry.
