“Passport to Elegance” Jet Center Party

Due to the current COVID-19 Situation, the PVGP’s 2020 Passport to Elegance Jet Center Party has been canceled. We hope to see you next year on Thursday, July 22 2021. Throughout the remainder of this year the PVGP will host Driving Tours and small car events to support our car community, sponsors and our charity partners. Thank you for understanding.

Get ready to swing back to the age of glamour, opulence and decadence at our Great Gatsby themed luxury bash held in the 18,000 square foot hangar of the Lynx Jet Center at Allegheny County Airport. Make an entrance and arrive in style donning your flapper dresses and bow ties to party amidst rare and exotic vintage cars and airplanes in an atmosphere of pure luxury and fanfare. A top-shelf open bar and top-notch menu will have everyone talking. Don’t miss the rest of the surprises in store for our guests. $375 per person.

The location is the same as the last two years but the name has changed. The Voyager Jet Center is now the Lynx Jet Center. We are happy to announce that Lynx, FBO, the new owners, will continue the tradition of hosting our event!

2019 PVGP Passport to Elegance Jet Center Party

“I love the beauty of vintage cars, especially ones from the ’50s and ’60; and this event easily rivals the one out in California’s Monterey Bay.” –  BOBBY RAHAL, Indianapolis 500 winning race driver and special guest at the inaugural Passport to Elegance party.

Featured Plane: Douglas C-47 “Luck of the Irish”

This C-47B Skytrain was delivered to the 9th Air Force’s 75th Troop Carrier Squadron on September 30th, 1944.

This plane flew resupply missions over the Battle of the Bulge in December, 1944 in which it dropped supplies from parapacks as well as from inside the fuselage to the surrounded troops below in the city of Bastogne. It also took part in Operation Varsity, the single largest air drop of troops and supplies during a single day, even to date. Over Varsity it towed two Waco CG-4A gliders full of troops.

Overall, it flew in 25 Fully Combat-Operational Resupply Missions in the European theatre from its base in Welford Park, England and Bretigny, France. It also flew 13 missions in which it evacuated American, British, French and even German POWs. We have records for at least 96 missions of various types, which it had taken part in during the war.

Honda Aircraft Tours

The Honda Aircraft Company will have a new jet on display. Come get a look at how Honda has recreated the business jet from the ground up with a truly clean sheet design. By mounting engines over the wing, designing Natural Laminar Flow for the wing and fuselage, and applying other innovations, the HondaJet outperforms all other aircraft in its class.

Single Ticket: $375

  • Package of 10 Tickets: $3,250
  • Combo Ticket for Jet Center and Blacktie Gala – $595 (save $75)

This event boasts the crème de la crème in people, cars, airplanes and experiences, no tuxedos or formal gowns needed. Don your own interpretation of chic jet-setter party fashion for a balmy July Pittsburgh night. We can’t wait to see your style!
