2019 Race Week Calendar

July 11 through 21, 2019

A UNIQUE 10-DAY AUTOMOTIVE FESTIVAL THAT CELEBRATES 37 YEARS AND BENEFITS CHARITY

What started as a single day race in 1983 has grown into a motorsport festival with two full race weekends and 10 days of parties, parades and car shows. There is something at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix for anyone who has any kind of fondness for things that go “vroom.” The following links will give you just a taste of what the PVGP has to offer.

Kick-Off Rallye

Sunday, July 7 – 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

If you like cars and country roads, this is a great way to spend a summer Sunday and kick off the Grand Prix. The Rallye is like a countryside tour and a scavenger hunt rolled into one. This is a casual and fun event with no experience required. Your $75 entry includes participation in the Rallye for driver and navigator. Rallye starts and finishes at Red Robin at Pittsburgh Mills for burgers, beer and prizes!

PVGP Historics at Pitt-Race Complex
July 11-14  9:00 am – 5:00 pm

If you’re into hearing the thunderous roar of 250 ground pounders on a 2.8 mile purpose-built track at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex, this is the weekend for you. Now in its 16th year, the PVGP Historics have developed into one of the PVGP’s most popular and growing events. On Saturday and Sunday from noon to 1:00 pm, for a donation to the charity, there is even a chance for spectators to experience a thrilling lap on the track with a racecar driver. Admission is $20 per day; kids under 12 are free. Shelby is holding their annual convention in conjunction with our event so there will be added action on the track Thursday and Friday with a massive car show on Saturday!

Our Tune-Up Party returns to Heinz Field in 2019. The stadium will be surrounded by cars of all kinds and the party flows from the Champions Club out onto the plaza overlooking the point and downtown Pittsburgh. It is the city’s most unique car show and party. The always popular race car and exotic car corral in front of the stadium features many cars that race with us in Schenley Park and at Pitt Race Complex along with specialty cars. The best part is that any attendees can bring their own cars to be a part of the show. The Car Showcase will be on the plaza in front of the stadium, facing the river and the point and all along Art Rooney Avenue. Cost is $50 per person and includes two complimentary drinks. Children 12 and under are only $25 each. Food will be available for purchase within the Champions Club.  Cars can begin to enter and park around the stadium at 5:00 PM, but the Champions Club does not open until 6:00 PM
