BMW Races at 2018 PVGP

BMW CCA Club RacingThis will be the homepage for all BMW races being held during the 2018 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix to help celebrate the BMW Oktoberfest.

This includes the PVGP Historics on July 6-8 and the Schenley Park Vintage Races on July 14/15. Special races have been established to include 2002’s at Schenley Park on Saturday, July 14 and an enduro for Club Racers at Pitt Race on Saturday, July 7.

BMW National Club Racing hosts a premiere points event featuring BMW Spec, Stock, Modified and Prepared Classes. Fully prepared race cars built from BMW street cars.  There will be two race groups – details and specs on the split groups will be decided once entries are received. An Enduro is scheduled on Saturday afternoon in place of the 20 minute session. If we are on schedule, the Enduro will be 1-hour, track shuts down at 5:30 pm.

Any BMW that participates in either of the two BMW Club races is also eligible to race within our other groups must pay the $200 Same Driver/Second Group fee of $200.

BMW 2002 Requirements
BMW 2002 racers do not have to be BMW CCA members and their cars’ safety gear and tech must adhere to the vintage rules from their sanctioning group.

Schenley Park – July 14-15, 2018

Schenley Park Racing Schedule.
All eligible BMWs will race within their assigned race groups all weekend. Eligible cars include:

BMW 2000Ti, 2002, 2002Ti, 2002Tii (1990cc)

BMW CSL’s will be accepted upon review and will race in the Over 2.o Litres Group. They were with us to celebrate BMW’s last Marque year in 2009 and the park is still buzzing!


There will be dedicated race for all BMW 2002’s on Saturday afternoon. This is a 25 minutes session for $50 – racers must already be registered to race on the weekend within their race group.


There are two ways to enter to race in the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, which includes the Historic Races at Pitt Race Complex on July 6-8 and the Vintage Races at Schenley Park on July 13-15. Discounts are available if you enter both race weekends, and the PVGP will provide free storage of your race rigs between race weekends.
