The Grand Prix’s Tune-Up party moved across the river to Atria’s at in 2014 and WOW – what a night! The car show started on Federal Street at PNC Park and stretched across the entire Roberto Clemente (Sixth Street) Bridge with a tremendous view of the point. The party started within Atira’s and spilled out onto the sidewalks and across the bridge with over 125 cars on display.
Kate Benz of the Tribune-Review selected it as one of the best parties of 2014 and summed it up best “the summer staple underwent a brilliant transformation this year thanks to a decision to move the festivities from its former location Downtown to the area in front of Atria’s at PNC Park on the North Side. There, the streets had been closed off, including the Sixth Street Bridge, much to the delight of a crowd that swelled by the minute.”
Many thanks to the Tune-Up committee, PVGP volunteers, sponsors, the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County for putting together s grand event. $23,800 was raised for our charities from this single night event! Outdoor events at new venues pose logistical challenges and like an old vintage car, we have a few kinks to work out for parking so many cars in a short time. We are looking forward to an even greater event in 2015!
Tickets will not go on sale until the spring of 2015.
Our Tune-Up event was chosen by the Tribune-Review as one of the best parties of 2014!
