The red rocker ring around the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix logo symbolizes the integral partnership between the Grand Prix and the 100 independently owned and operated SHOP ‘n SAVE stores. It is proof of SHOP ‘n SAVE’s long term commitment to helping others in the Pittsburgh region.
In 2013 SHOP ‘n SAVE will be the Presenting Sponsor of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix for the 13th year, helping us raise awareness and funds for the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and Allegheny Valley School.
Rich Haeflein, Advertising Account Manager for SHOP ‘n SAVE Operations stated “Our sponsorship of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix and their charities is true to our belief that the greatest reward comes from helping others.”

In addition to promoting the Grand Prix at their stores, SHOP ‘n SAVE also hosts the Hospitality Tent at Schenley Park. It’s hard to miss at the top of the hill overlooking the race course. Stop by, grab a bite to eat, enjoy the myriad activities and watch the races!
This will be our 13th year of participation in this great community event,” said Rich Haeflein, SHOP ‘n SAVE Senior Advertising Manager. “The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is an opportunity for our retailers to give back to their local communities. It’s been a pleasure to be involved with an organization made up of over 1,000 volunteers—all focused on working toward the common goal of benefiting charities.
SHOP ‘n SAVE’s Hospitality Tent
SHOP ‘n SAVE’s “Speedway to Savings” Hospitality Tent is at the center of the action at Schenley Park. All proceeds from food sales go directly to helping to raise awareness and funds for the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and Allegheny Valley School.
What’s the best way to take your mind off the summer heat? Fast cars, fun prizes and the opportunity to support local charities, of course, and that’s just what SHOP ‘n SAVE was offering Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix attendees. Each year all event attendees to the Hospitality Tent are invited to make a donation to pre-selected local charities— the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and Allegheny Valley School. Nearly $10,000 was raised over the weekend! The highest amount in SHOP ‘n SAVE’s history. Donations are based on the individual participant’s discretion.
This was our 12th year of participation in this great community event,” said Rich Haeflein, SHOP ‘n SAVE Senior Advertising Manager. “The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is an opportunity for our independent retailers to give back to their local communities. It’s been a pleasure to be involved with an organization made up of over 1,200 volunteers—all focused on working toward the common goal of benefiting charity. Our involvement is true to SHOP ‘n SAVE’s belief that the greatest rewards come from reaching out and helping others.”
