Walnut Street Invitational Car Show

Monday, July 18, 2022

Nestled on Shadyside’s charming Walnut Street you will see 135 rare, classic and exotic cars that are a preview to the PVGP International Car Show that will occur a few days later. This popular long-running show features some of the region’s finest and most unique vehicles. Cars are carefully selected for the show by invitation only – so this promises to include show cars rarely seen at other car shows and cruises.

New Sponsor

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix welcomes Piatt Sotheby’s International Realty as the sponsor of the Walnut Street Car Show. Their office at 5529 Walnut Street will be a popular gathering spot during the car show, stop by and say hello.

Invitation Policy

In order to limit the chaos on the day of the show, only cars holding a mailed invitation will be admitted. The logistics of squeezing 135 cars onto Walnut Street is daunting: accommodating unexpected guests is next to impossible. Please do not show-up without an invitation expecting to show your car. Invitations are rotated from year to year so that we can showcase a different variety each year. Contact Greg Farrell for details.

Online donations are greatly appreciated.  Click below to make a donation to our charities in honor of this show – please understand that a donation does not guarantee that your car will be in the show.

Shadyside, in the heart of Pittsburgh’s East End, is a residential neighborhood with a village-like feel with Walnut Street, Ellsworth and South Highland Avenues as its prosperous commercial and entertainment core. These streets offer a bustling atmosphere of boutiques, shops, lounges, and restaurants designed to suit the discriminating tastes of residents and visitors. Shadyside is popular with a mix of affluent families, young professionals, artists and students. Old-fashioned architectural character, along with newer, modern homes and buildings are woven together, making a unique and beautiful neighborhood.

Mario’s East Side Saloon is joining the fun on Walnut Street and will host our private party for participants. Thank you for your support!
