SHOW CARS PARADE INTO DOWNTOWN AND PARK AT PLAZAS THROUGHOUT THE CITY
If you work downtown, Wednesday of Race Week is a great day to take a long lunch break. Nestled among the skyscrapers several of downtown’s most prominent addresses open their plazas to help us promote the upcoming car show. The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix hosts a parade and 3 distinct car displays in the golden triangle. The parade starts at Station Square, where cars will stage in the parking lot next to the Gateway Clipper. Check-in opens at 8:00 am. – look for signs directing you. You don’t have to participate in the parade, you are permitted to go directly to your assigned car display location. between 10:30 and 10:45 am.
Registration & Cost
The cost is only $10 to participate in the Downtown Parade and Plaza Display. Proceeds benefit the Autism Society and Allegheny Valley School.
If you have elected to participate in the PVGP parade, the starting location is at the Station Square – Highmark/Gateway Clipper parking lot, GPS: 350 W Station Square Dr, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Plan to arrive at this location between 8:30 and 9:00 AM. The parade to US Steel Plaza will depart at 10:00 AM. The parade to PPG Plaza, Market Square, Point State Park, will depart at 10:30 AM.
If you are planning to come directly to a plaza, you may arrive between 10:00 and 11:00 AM and we ask you to keep your car in place until 2:00 PM. All cars should exit each plaza before 3:00 PM.
· Entrance to Market Square is at Fifth Avenue and Market Street.
· Entrance to PPG Plaza is at Third Avenue and Market Street.
· Entrance to the US Steel Plaza is at Grant Street and Sixth Avenue.

Many thanks to the City of Pittsburgh and the plazas that host our car shows – we appreciate their generosity. After the car display come on over and join us for the Tune-Up Party at Atria’s from 6:00 until 10:00 PM. There will be plenty of great food and drink and a display of race and show cars – only $40. For $100 you can park you car on the bridge and receive 2 tickets into Atria’s.
