The Kick-Off Rallye is the opening event of our 2017 Race Week. Paul MacIntyre and his Rallye Team are excited about the new host – the Quaker Steak & Lube in Cranberry Township. The Rallye will begin and end from the restaurant. PVGP Rallymaster Bruce Gezon is thrilled about the new scenic country roads north of Pittsburgh that the Rallye can explore.
The Quaker Steak & Lube® Cranberry Township restaurant is located north of Pittsburgh, PA.They are already getting geared up to serve us a tremendous buffet! The Cranberry Township location offers the best wings in Pittsburgh with over 25 different wing sauces. There is always something happening at The Lube®.
Our Kick-Off Rallye is truly the kick-off event of the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix as it occurs one week before Race Week. The competition consists of a combined Monte Carlo/Gimmick format requiring no prior experience. Multiple checkpoints are located early along the route and are shown in the route instructions with an approximate mileage and the time that the vehicle is due to cross the timing line. Stopping or slowing prior to the control is permitted as long as safely done. Questions pertaining to observations made along the route are interspersed among the instructions which require a complete understanding of the rules in order to successfully answer the questions and receive no additional penalty points. The combination of checkpoint timing errors and question penalty points are totaled for the final score. No experience is necessary, just have fun and help raise funds for our charities.
The entry fee for a team of two is $75.00. This includes entry and meals for two people. Meals for any additional participants can be purchased for only $15 each. You can also download an entry form and pay with a check. More details
