 Weekend July 17 & 18, 2010

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, presented by Shop 'n Save has grown into a 10 day motorsport event with two weekends of racing! The kick-off weekend launches our event from the BeaveRun Motorsports race track. A bellicose big-bore battalion of 1960’s and 70’s legends will roar through the BeaveRun MotorSports Complex in Beaver Falls on the July 17/18 weekend.

Spectators
At BeaveRun legendary pedigrees such as Corvette, Mustang, Camaro, BMW and Jaguar take part in a weekend of racing that kicks off a full week of races and car shows. Cost is only $15 per day.
 
Directions
From Pittsburgh, take the PA Turnpike west to Exit 13 Ellwood City/Beaver Falls. Go north on Route 18 for 2.6 miles and turn left into BeaveRun Motorsports Complex. Drive time from downtown Pittsburgh is 50 minutes.
 
Karting

New for 2010! You can get on the track yourself - take a spin on the Wilson karting track where you can reach speeds of 45 MPH! Both the red Birel Rock Karts as well as the black Junior Rental Karts will be available to accommodate most drivers eight years old and up. BeaveRun will run a special all weekend long with proceeds going to the Grand Prix charities. Buy one 10 minute session for $20 and get another 10 minutes for free. SOLO Autocross
{vda} A Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Solo II Event also take place all weekend on the Vehicle Dynamics Area - open to all drivers. Started in 2001, the Vintage Solo has been steadily drawing more participants and charity revenue as it grows in recognition.
 
Track
BeaveRun's North Track is ideally suited to high performance driver training, racing of all types, vehicle demonstrations and testing.  The track is 1.5 miles in length and has 12 turns. With a layout that flows over hilly natural terrain, the course offers exciting elevation changes and several blind-entry turns that challenge the abilities of drivers and riders alike.
 
Admission
The Historic Races include six groups of historic race cars, sanctioned by the VRG. Spectator tickets are available at the BeaveRun gate. $15.00 per day or $25.00 for the weekend, children 12 & under are free - all proceeds benefit the PVGP charities. Free parking within the BeaveRun Complex is provided.
 
       
BMW/Porsche Challenge
All licensed BMW and Porsche Club Racers from the United States and Canada are {p} welcome to participate.The races will consist of practice and sprint races on Saturday, July 17 and Sunday, July 18. All participants will receive lunch both days, and a ticket to the trackside dinner on Saturday night. Details

 
Test & Tune Session - Friday, July 16
There will be a Test & Tune Session at BeaveRun hosted by the PVGP. Proceeds will benefit our charities. Cost is $165 for the day and will include several opportunities for you to test and prepare your car for the weekend's races. Racers from both PVGP weekends are welcome as are BMW and Audi owners. German Marque Tent/Car Corral
The BMW Club will host a German Marque tent for BMW, Audi, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz club members. The BMW and Porsche racers are invited to join the party for lunch each day. You must preregister to park your car at the tent and have lunch. Details

  The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association is a registered 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with a mission to hold a world-class vintage automotive race event for charity. Since 1983 this volunteer-driven event has raised over $2.5 million to benefit developmentally disabled individuals through the Autism Society of Pittsburgh & Allegheny Valley School. The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix remains our country's largest vintage race event and the only one run on actual city streets.
