Many think the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix takes place every third weekend in July. While it is true that our tribute to motorsport history culminates that magical weekend in Schenley Park, our event has blossomed into a 10-day celebration spanning six venues and two counties. The links in this section will give you just a taste of what has become PVGP Race Week.
Kick-Off Rallye Sunday, July 11 First car off at 12:01 PM
Car enthusiasts match their driving skills against a "mystery course" through the streets of Pittsburgh. Starting on South Craig Street in Oakland and finishing up at Geno's Restaurant in Lawrenceville. This 2-3 hour event combines your driving and navigation skills. It is a fun, casual way to kick-off our Race Week. Details
Cocktails & Tailpipes Friday, July 16 - Pittsburgh Golf Club 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM
The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix will host our annual party benefiting the PVGP charities at the Pittsburgh Golf Club in Schenley Park. A must for any auto enthusiast. The event is blacktie optional. Details
PVGP Test & Tune at BeaveRun Friday

Our vintage race drivers get a chance to tune their racers and practice on the BeaveRun MotorSports Complex track for the races that weekend. $150 for the day, free to the viewing public. Details
PVGP Historic Races at BeaveRun Weekend July 17 & 18 9:00 am – 5:00 PM
The 7th Annual PVGP Historic Race Weekend held at BeaveRun presents a variety of vintage (pre 1960) and historic (after 1960) racing along with related activities at BeaveRun MotorSports Complex in Beaver Falls, PA. Watch the races and take a spin on the Kart track - proceeds benefit our charities. $15 per day or $25 for the weekend, kids under 12 are free. Details
Invitational Car Show on Walnut Street Monday July 19, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Nestled on Shadyside’s charming Walnut Street view rare, classic and exotic cars - a sampling of what is to come on the weekend at Schenley Park. Show cars by invitation, free to spectators. Details
Waterfront Car Cruise Tuesday July 20, 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Join us and see over 500 cars of all marques. $5 donation to our charities is requested Details
Downtown Race Car Parade & Display Wednesday July 21, 10:30 - 2:00 PM
50 Race and show cars will thunder through downtown Pittsburgh on their way to car displays at the US Steel Building, PPG Place and Market Square. Many Spotlight Corvettes will take part. Details
Grand Prix Tune-Up at Bossa Nova Wednesday July 21, 6:00 pm– 9:00 pm
A special happy hour downtown at Bossa Nova on 7th Street. Live entertainment and silent auction. $35 per person at the door includes tapas and two complimentary cocktails. Details
Schenley Park Car Shows and Race Qualifying - Saturday, July 24
Come see classic, antique, and exotic vehicles including British, American, German, Asian and Italian cars on the golfcourse. Watch 200 vintage racers compete on the track all day to quality for Sunday's featured races. Details

Our 10-day event closes with a bang as we continue with our races and car shows all day long.

12:00 to 5:00 PM 7 Races (8 lap races or 30 minutes whichever comes first)
